Champion Boat Co of Mountain Home, Arkansas has been forced into bankruptcy. Trade Only Magazine indicates that empoyess and suppliers alike filed
they had not been paid and the insurance and taxes withheld from payroll has not been paid causing insurance policies to lapse. The action was issed by the US District Court in St Louis, Missouri. The
company is also being investigated by the US Dept of Labor and the Insurance Fraud Unit of the Arkansas Insurance Department.

Cycle & Marine Supercenter sponsored racer Sonny Freeman took third place in the Southwest Roadracing Championship series in the
“Twins” class aboard his Suzuki 650. He had to compete against all other twins including the TL1000Rs, 996s and more. Sonny also took third place in the Lightweight Supersport
class on the same motorcycles.Congradulations for your fine rides Sonny and thanks for running our colors..

We have just recieved some of the new 2002 outboard motors from Nissan, Suzuki and Yamaha. Check them out as well as

Last weekend, the Dirtbikemike team put on their first Faircross at Sheridan. Mike built a very nice track. It was very similar to a regular Arenacross.
The crowd was disappointing so every one needs to go to his next race this Saturday and Sunday at Glenwood, AR.
Blake Keeton did a great job pulling out the win in close races in the 125 and 250 Pro classess over John Adam. Kevin Vines came in third in both
classes in his first race on his new 2002 Suzuki 250.
Another Cycle & Marine Rider, Taryn Covington, made a last lap pass for second place in the 125 class ( I think that was the class as she also rode
the 80 class). Lucas Langley had fun jumping the catapult in wining the 250 novice class.

Red Bud
Michigan was the site of this weekends Outdoor National Motocross. We were there even though John still had a very sore foot from the incident at Southwick MX in Mass three weeks ago. A flagger failed to get the yellow flag out when the fourth place rider fell on the landing from a jump and the next 10 riders jumped into the melee including John (running 9th) who was hit from behind with the skid plate of the other bike hitting his back and ther front tire imprinting his left arm but the worst was as he got knocked over the bars, his right foot got caught in footpeg/brake levers. We thought it was broken but had pulled and torn the tendons and bruised it very bad. Back to this race, John actually had a good start (top 10 out of 41) but got pushed into a hay bale and came out of the second turn in around 35th. He passed well and in four laps got to 26th, but he needed to be in 20th or better to qualify. The last change start wasn’t as good but he got thru all of it in around 26th place and moved up to 15th in the four lap race. He needed to have a 10th or better so we got to go home early. John did say that he felt lots better and his riding showed in the second moto as he passed all the way to the flag with a pass on the finish line jump.
Jan and Mike are proud grandparents as Michelle and Chad had a beautiful baby girl, Jodie.

John competed at the Dirt Bike MIke Promotions series race at Benton, La. In his first race, the 250 Pro class, he and Jason Hyde
had contact in the 2nd turn and both went down. They got up over 30 seconds behind the leader but John really cranked it up his speed and pulled into the lead with one lap to go taking
the win. He went on to take the win in both 125 Pro class motos and in his 2nd 250 class race, making a perfect day of 4 wins in 4 motos.

PINE BLUFF RACING

Pine Bluff MX held it’s regular race September 15th. The turnout was great as it seemed everyone wanted to get back to normal after the terrible acts in
New York and Washington. The over 40 class was represented well and Fordyce resident Jack Kyzer put his Yamaha out front in both motos for the overall win. His son, Kyle had was
riding well in the Pro class as he was trying to keep John Adam in site only to crash after the river whoop section. His hand seem to take the brunt and looked to be broken but to everyones
suprise as he pulled off his jersey, his thubm jumped into place as it had only been dislocated. JOhn Lea put in a good ride winning both the 125 and 250 novice classes. Jason Dobbins took
plenty of ribbing for his new ride but won the open amatuer class anyway. Brain Green looked to have in his hand the four stroke class only to sheer off the teeth on his front sproket and
have to pull off for the second race in a row (last month it was a flat tire)John Adam has been out at the track with the .Cycle & Marine DOZE helping Gary get ready for the State
Championship race coming next month on the 20th and 21st of October. Be there for lots of fun and BIG trophies.
